I'm glad to hear she seems to be doing okay, Kris. I know how freaking scary all of this is, but it sounds like your mom has a good attitude about the whole thing, and I'm sure she'll be fine in the long run.

What a relief for everybody that the tumor's gone and your mom can now heal. Wish her the best from me.

Breathes a sigh of relief. gythiawulfie October 10 2013, 12:26:37 UTC
when you said the size of an orange earlier my brain went. O.o. o.O about a thousand times.

Give mom virtual squishy hugs and warmest wishes for an even faster recovery. (and I agree I hate oxygen masks too)

Woo, awesome! She's doing even better than I figured she would.

While my wife was recovering from her surgery, a respected member of the local Jewish community was recovering in a room a few doors down from her - so she would constantly see Hassidic Jews walking back and forth. Considering the risks involved with the procedure, there were a few times where she thought she might have miscalculated what heaven's like.

There were also big therapy dogs around, which also didn't help matters.
