I've got a spare unlocked MiFi box which worked nicely in the flat. £30 for 32Gb from EE, rolling one month contract. WiFi in the house, mobile data.

in reality, I suspect I will cope with wifi at costa for a week.....

Can you tether your computer to your phone? I did that when my internet cable was accidentally severed. It uses phone data, but if your plan can handle it, it's much better than dial-up.

yes, and thankfully am still on a big data contract as I haven't reduced it since my parents got wifi
