Painting With Shadows

Now that the spnspringfling reveals are up, here's my contribution. This was written for tringic.

I... kind of wanted to do a lot of things with this fic. I don't know if I've achieved all of them, but I do hope you enjoy it. Also, it's Meg/Lisa, so... there's that.

I still really like what you did with this fic.

Yet more proof that you can get me to like pretty much anything, because this was not something I ever would have expected myself to enjoy as much as I did. Well, well done.

To be honest, this is not something I expected I would write, either. But that's the joy of these challenges--breaking out of your comfort zone (though I suspect I haven't broken out of my comfort zone here as much as I have made it just a little more accommodative.)

Thank you again! ♥

Finally got round to reading this excellent ficlet!

I love how you used the Meg asides/future action to break up the present so you get the feeling of doom right from the start.

And the whole concept - yes, absolutely. What Dean did in stripping Lisa of her memories has to have left her and Ben so vulnerable - so open to being exploited - and this fic highlights that so well.

Yay, thank you so much! :)

This really is a bit of a worst-case scenario, but yeah. Did Dean think it was going to be that easy? That decision never did sit well with me, and that Show has never referred to it again or bothered to show possible repercussions is discomfiting.

Yes they do have a tendency to drop stones like that into the pond then forget about the ripples....

I just found this and it's great. I never did understand how Dean thought he was protecting Lisa and Ben when he wiped their memories. If nothing else, wouldn't they want to know why Greg was lying there murdered in their living room?

“He had your memories removed! Oh, Saint Dean. Never change.”

And he doesn't change. I actually love that Meg has a pretty good handle on Dean and sees this as a totally Dean move.
