There is a land called Procrastinativa and I am their Queen

I am so dumb. So this year has been pretty hard school-wise, because I'm taking two AP classes. But instead of signing up for a nice and calm slacker senior year, like most people would have done (like most people did do), next year is going to suck. Why? Because I'm taking five...count 'em, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 AP classes!

Why am I talking about this now ( Read more... )

beta, rant, writing, school

I can beta for you, if you want. I'm not too great at plot development stuff. I'm mainly a grammar beta. *shrugs*

I have to say, I was wondering why you weren't updating on FP. ^_^

And... dude... that is a serious amount of homework!! You're insane. That's the only conclusion I can draw from that. ^_^

Really? That would be great, especially toward the later chapters. I've sort of been editing as I go along, but as I march toward my deadline I'm sort of rushing through things :P

I should probably delete the FP version...I actually have changed a lot of the first chapters.

How are you with (het) romance? I've sort of started writing a little bit of it, but I can't tell if it's cheesy and overbearing or cute. Really, what I'm most worried about overall is making sure my characters seem real. It's turned out to be kind of hard to do when it's not fanfic. :P

(and sorry it's been so long...just got back from college visits in DC. The hotel there charged for internet access, so obviously my parents felt it was unnecessary. >.<)

Well, I'm not heterophobic, but I doubt that's what you were asking. lol.

I've read my fair share of het, so I would say pretty decent with it. And cheesy and overbearing, I can definitely tell apart from cute. :D

Yeah, original characters are really hard to write. That's why I write mainly fanfic for now, so that I can practice keeping them real and in character. :D

Ooh, and DC? Did you go to the national zoo? 'Cause that zoo is awesome!!! Strange that I've only been to DC a few times, since I only live like two hours away from it...

Anyway! Internet is /always/ necessary!! Why do non-fanfic people not realize that?!?! ^_^

Ok, so it's been a long time since you wrote this. Sorry :( My life is insanely busy, and it doesn't look like it's getting easier any time soon.

So, you still up for betaing? (Don't worry, I wasn't accusing you of being heterophobic :P) It's still very much a work in progress, but I think I FINALLY know where I'm going with it. Now that I am in the process of writing in real motives for my characters, I've found that it's become slightly easier to keep them in character. Funny how that works, huh? :D

Didn't make it to the national zoo, though we did hit plenty of the museums. I think I liked the newseum best, it was really cool. (Very interactive and modern, which was nice and not-boring, lol.)

I am honestly not sure what I would have done if I was born in a time without internet. Even the thought of it boggles my mind... O.o
