Books and birds, days 316-318 of 2012

I'm being a little cocky with the days: can I be relied upon to count the number since Saturday? I'm not so sure. This is a quick little post that results mostly from my having started Brighton Rock which book I've never read before. I had no idea this existed! How exciting. Too bad I don't do anything worth bartering, that could be really cool. I remember writing about barter networks way back when I was at the PCC Sound Consumer, but it never seemed like things were going anywhere, so it's cool to see that it really does exist.

Some people were offering services--housesitting, cat care, etc. I'm pretty sure you know, oh, editing... or dog-walking if you wanted something more fun. And I did trade jam for a book of poetry so there's always writing as well! -em
