The MoT lives in terror of us communicating via LJ but here I am doing just that, though-I hope-with my beloved iheartleaven rather than Ms. Three

Good to know, although unfortunately, the permeating odor at our current apartment is one of cat waste. I have tried keeping the litter fresh, I have tried opening the windows, but beyond a certain point there is just no helping things when your cat uses the litter box upwards of eight times a day. It is like having a dog. The cost of litter is astronomical.
I may try calling PSE anyway, though, just to see how helpful they really are.

You might try calling the vet instead; a cat probably shouldn't be using the litter box eight times per day. Though it's not like I've ever actually monitored Rose and Gil's boxes that closely, nor K's neither. I assume you're already using a covered box and scooping it every day? If you're using an ever-so-correct all-natural cat litter made of corn husks, you might compromise your principles and try Ever-Clean; it seems to be pretty good about actually absorbing the stench. Finally, and probably most usefully so why I didn't start with it, I don't know: get a "plug-mount-odor-eliminator" and plug it in near the catbox. -em. ps. Is Brian designing the new cd? I happen to know of a darned fine album cover that's still available... -em.

You're... you're talking about the one with the cats, and Rose in the box, huh? I see it in the corner there. That is a good one, but I don't know if it really speaks to this record. (This record, which we briefly considered calling "Domestic Terror," a name that was discarded for being too much of a thinker

The air thing isn't a scented thing that puts some hideous smell into the air to cover up the cat box odor; it's a powered filter that sucks up the stinkiness. I don't think Keenan should have any reaction to it.
Perhaps "Too Much of a Thinker" is the name for the new album? -em.
