A/N: I'm having a bit of writers block with All I Wanted so bare with me. Also, this fic isn't getting as much feedback as All I Wanted has. I would really, really appreciate if you told me what you think of this because I'm working really hard on it :)

'Gotten anywhere with Gaskarth yet?' Zack smirked as Jack got into his car the next morning.

'No,' Jack sighed. 'He's so fucking stubborn!'

'That'll be 30 dollars, please,' Zack said, smiling and holding his hand out expectantly as he drove away from the other's house.

'No way!' Jack exclaimed, before sighing and softening both his voice and his expression. 'C'mon man, just give me a little more time.' Yeah, Jack felt bad for roping Alex into this, but he wasn't about to lose this. No way.

Retracting his hand, Zack sighed. 'Alright, alright. What date is it, the tenth?'

When Jack nodded, Zack rolled his eyes. 'You have until the end of the month.'

Grinning wide, Jack grabbed the other's face and planted a sloppy kiss on his cheek, causing Zack to pull away, scrunching his face up. 'Dud, what the fuck?'

'You know me, Merrick. I swing both ways,' Jack smirked, and Zack let out a small chuckle.

'Yeah, but I don't. I honestly don't know how you manage to get laid. Your kisses are awful.'

'My mouth's good for other things,' Jack shrugged.

As Zack spluttered on air, Jack just laughed, the other turning to look at him in disgust.

'Dude, that's fucking gross.'

When Jack entered his art class, he saw Alex with his earphones in, beanie pulled over his face to block the light with his head on the desk and his arms sprawled out. Smirking at the sleeping boy, he sat down beside him, glad that Hayley hadn't arrived yet, and pulled Alex's beanie off - causing him to have messy sex hair which Jack just loved - his earphones out and shaking his body until he was both awake and irritated. Lifting his head up off the table, Alex glared at Jack, who was just smirking at him and absently fiddling with the red beanie in his hands.

'Dude, what the fuck?! I was sleeping! Give me my fucking beanie back!'

Chuckling quietly, Jack shook his head. 'Nah, I don't think I will. Your hair looks damn sexy like that,' he added with a wink.

Alex tried to hide his embarrassment, but a slight pink tint still coloured his cheeks. 'That's Hayley's seat.'

'Well, Hayley will just have to sit elsewhere.'

'Well, no, she won't, because you're moving.'

Right on cue, Hayley arrived, marching over to Jack and glaring at him. 'Move.'

'No!' Jack exclaimed, shifting closer to Alex. 'Alex wants me to stay.'

Turning her attention to Alex, Hayley looked at the boy skeptically. 'Alex, you wanna sit beside me or Barakat?'

'You,' Alex said firmly, and Hayley looked at Jack expectantly, who sighed before getting up, repeating his previous actions with Zack, by grabbing Alex's face and kissing his cheek, causing the boy's eyes to widen and for him to look at Jack in shock.

'See ya later, sweetheart!' Jack teased, walking off and instead sitting next to Lisa Ruocco, who happened to be one of the popular girls.

'Now class,' Mr Wentz began as he walked in. 'We're starting a new project today, which you're gonna need a partner for. I'll let you choose your partners, since I'm such an amazing guy,' he smiled, before grabbing the class register and scanning over it as he continued. 'Okay, we'll go in alphabetical order... Mr Barakat! Who's your partner?'

Jack looked over to see both Alex and Hayley with worried expressions on their faces, and laughed quietly. This was going to be fun.

'Alex Gaskarth, sir,' he smirked, seeing Alex roll his eyes in irritation.

'What are you doing here?' Alex sighed, when none other than Jack fucking Barakat showed up on his fucking doorstep. 'How did you even find my house?'

'Asked Josh,' Jack shrugged. 'He didn't seem suspicious or anything.'

At that, Alex rolled his eyes. He loved Josh, but the boy was fucking clueless. Of course he gave Jack Alex's address.

'Fucking idiot,' Alex mumbled, hearing a 'Language, Alexander!' coming from the living room.

'Sorry Mum!' Alex called out, waiting for Jack to leave.

'Can I come in?' Jack asked.

'Fuck no,' Alex scoffed, sighing as he heard his Mum approaching.

'Stop using that language, Alex, and stop being so bloody rude,' she tutted, smiling at the boy in the doorway. 'What's your name, love?'

'I'm Jack. You must be Mrs Gaskarth,' Jack smiled politely, shaking Isobel's hand.

'Please, just call me Isobel. Mrs Gaskarth makes me sound ancient,; Isobel laughed, ushering Jack in. 'Are you Alex's friend? I've never seen you around before.'

'No,' Alex answered firmly, glaring at Jack as his Mum closed the door behind him.

'Shush, Alex,' Isobel sighed, smiling at Jack expectantly.

'We're partners for an art project.'

'Oh, well you boys had better get started then!' Isobel exclaimed, walking into the kitchen. 'Would you like anything to drink?'

'Just water, please,' Jack responded politely.

'It's okay, Mum, I'll get it,' Alex said, moving to take the water from his mother and quickly grabbing a coke for himself.

'Thank you, darling,' Isobel smiled, sitting back down on the couch. 'Have fun!' she shouted after the two boys who were now walking up the stairs. Jack walked into Alex's room, taking in the Blink-182 poster on the wall, and the stack of Green Day cds lying next to the stereo.

'You have good taste,' he commented, impressed.

'I know I do,' Alex replied, setting the drinks down and falling onto his bed.

'So, what have we to do?' Jack asked, sitting next to the other boy.

'Of course you didn't listen,' Alex remarked, rolling his eyes whilst he played with the bracelet which hung loosely on his wrist, catching Jack's attention.

'Bracelets?' Jack smirked. 'Is that not a little gay?'

Alex just glared at him, unimpressed.

'What I wear doesn't concern you,' Alex retorted.

'Oh, feisty,' Jack mocked.

'Shut up, Barakat. Anyway, we've to make a collage of something that means a lot to both of us,' Alex muttered, and Jack nodded thoughtfully.

'Well, why don't we do a bunch of album covers?' Jack suggested. 'Like, I could draw Enema of the State, you could draw Dookie, I could draw Nimrod, you could draw Take Off Your Pants and Jacket and so on?'

'That's actually a good idea,' Alex agreed. 'Good job, Barakat.'

'Does this mean you've stopped hating me?'

'No.'
