A/N; Happy chapter aw.
Masterpost Jack awoke on Monday morning to find Josh snoring loudly next to him. Rolling his eyes and chuckling, he swiftly jumped up from the bed and made his way downstairs, where he found Alex sitting at the kitchen table, pushing cereal and milk around his bowl with his spoon and staring into space, rather than actually eating his meal.
'Hey-'
'Fuck!' Alex exclaimed as he jumped in surprise, causing his spoon to tip the bowl upside down and the contents to spill onto the floor. As Alex calmed down, the two of them stared at the mess the elder had made, before laughing lightly.
'Aw, did someone get a little fright?' Jack teased.
'Fuck you,' Alex chuckled, looking at the spilled cereal again before shrugging and walking past Jack to the living room.
'What, you not gonna clean it up?' Jack asked as he followed the elder and sat on the English boy's couch.
Raising an eyebrow, Alex looked towards the other boy, before again shrugging lightly and turning his attention to the television.
'His house, isn't it? He can clean it up.'
Jack snorted at that. 'Always so responsible, aren't you, Gaskarth?'
'That's me,' Alex answered cheerily as he flicked through the various channels, before sighing and settling on a music channel, because there was fuck all on, as always.
'Shouldn't we get ready for school?' Jack suggested.
Narrowing his eyebrows, Alex looked at the younger as though he were crazy.
'Jack, you were raped last night, and I fucking murdered someone last night. Do you really think school is our top priority?'
Making a face in agreement, Jack nodded along. 'Fair enough.'

'Hey, Jack?' Alex asked a couple of hours later, causing Jack to raise his eyebrows slightly and turn to him.
'Yeah?'
'You, uh, you know how you told Josh that you've forgiven me? Well... did you mean it?'
Scrunching his face up slightly, Jack sighed, turning to face the elder completely and nudging the boy's leg softly with his foot to get his attention.
'Well, yeah. I mean, I'm still pissed off, don't get me wrong, but we can work past that, y'know? I can't hold grudges forever. Especially not with you, as much as I make it seem like I do.'
At that, Alex smiled. Small, but a smile all the same. Not sure what to say, he just nodded before twiddling his thumbs and staring down at them.
'Lex?' Jack began unsurely.
'Since we're, like, telling each other these kinds of things, you know when you said you liked me? Did, uh, did you really mean that?'
And at that, Alex smiled that sad smile that was always etched onto his face when this was brought up. Gently, he took hold of the younger's hand, squeezing it lightly.
'Yeah, I did. I understand that you probably don't feel the same way or whatever, and that's okay. Like, if you don;t like me back, I don't want that to come between us or anything. But yeah, I really like you, Jay.'
Smiling widely, Jack hooked two fingers under the elder's chin and tilted his head up, before gently slotting their lips together. Gasping lightly, Alex shuffled closer to the other boy, threading his fingers through Jack's ebony hair. As he deepened the kiss just slightly, Jack's arms made their way around the other's waist, pulling the boy even closer to him. They continued on like that for a few moments, before they were interrupted.
'Aw! Oh my God, you're so, aw! You, I can't, you're so cute!'
Laughing lightly, the two boys pulled away from each other and grinned up at their incoherent friend. Josh was stood there biting his lip as he smiled widely down at them.
'Someone's fond of us together,' Alex laughed lightly.
'How can I not be? Look at you! You're so... so... aw!'
And both boys let out a loud laugh at the sight of the English boy literally flailing as he spoke.
'I swear to God, there is no fucking way you're straight,' Jack mused with a grin, causing Josh to chuckle and swat Jack with his hand.
'Fuck you,' the boy laughed. 'Seriously, though, you're so fucking adorable! Just, aw, stay like that forever, okay? Right, I'm gonna leave you two to it,' Josh winked suggestively before leaving the room, causing Jack to blush slightly and Alex to roll his eyes. Their lips had barely been pressed together before the heard that English accent shrieking at them from the kitchen.
'What the fuck have you two done?! How the fuck did you manage that, how clumsy are you?!'
At that, the two boys pulled apart and smirked, before instead slotting their hands together and walking into the kitchen to see Josh knelt down in front of the little mess Alex had made, pulling what could probably be considered the least attractive face anyone could ever make, and Alex simply couldn't hold back a snort at the sight of it.
'Ew! Look at it, it's fucking stuck to the floor! Oh God, it's solid, how the fuck am I supposed to clean this up?'
And Alex held back another laugh, putting his arm around Jack's shoulder and silently leading him away, leaving Josh to ramble on about the cereal stuck to the floor by himself.
