Title: Eire Pairing/Characters: Michael, Fiona, OCs Rating: PG13 Spoilers: Pilot Summary: How Michael met Fiona in Ireland Notes/Warnings: Read the disclaimer on my LJ

I confess I really wanted this to be either a long fic telling the whole story or the first story in a long series detailing how Michael and Fiona first hooked up. Sadly the way my writing is going there's a decent chance this won't turn into a series, but it's written open ended in the hope there will be Michael/Fiona scorching hot sex more. ;-)
While I wrote two Burn Notice fic for the last yuletide I didn't sign up for it this year. /is sad/ I fell behind on the show in early to mid season 2 so I really don't feel comfortable offering it anymore. I do want to catch up, but with NaNo going on I'm honest about not having time before the deadline.
FWIW I realize this story line might have gotten Jossed in the episodes I didn't see, but I had the bunny for so long I had to write it. I'm just bummed I haven't gotten to the good parts yet. /sigh/
And another ficfinishing fic gets published… I'm really trying to get as many fic off my unpublished list as I can before end of year. My goal? Less than ten partials total across all 20 fandoms. Why

Oh no! Tell us more! Now my appetite is whetted!
I love the way you write this fandom. You're Michael-voice is really grand, and the little how-to-be-a-spy monologues are right out of the show. Well done!
I just loved this description of Fiona! It was a woman: slender and lean, but tough and wiry, beautiful but with an expression that showed she brooked no nonsense, with long brown hair that floated behind her like a royal cape, one that proclaimed her queen with no man above her.
BTW I just signed up for Yuletide and picked a variety of fandoms inc Burn Notice; we're way behind in the UK (about 5 eps into s2) but I personally think it's ok to write fics and say they're set S1...if I end up writing that fandom I hope my recipient feels the same way.
Good luck with NaNo! That's a temptation I've so far resisted. Hope you reach your goal :)
I agreed that it's valid to write earlier seasons. The only problem you might run into is someone asking for Carla or Victor, but if they haven't shown up yet for you, they should soon.
This being pre-series I felt pretty comfortable, but I did worry if I missed out on any canon about how they met in episodes I'd missed. Yuletide is awesome for getting people betas and such so if you need one, pop into the Yuletide chat (which rocks BTW!) and ask a Hippo for help. There's also a post for it, but the chat is a great way to experience Yuletide.
I really enjoyed writing my two BN fic for Yuletide last year so I'm looking forward to seeing what gets written for the fandom this year. :-)
Thanks for the advice, a beta reader would probably be a very good idea :) It's okay because I only picked characters I already knew rather than the "all" option, so I wouldn't get matched with a request for Victor fic (though I'm really looking forward to seeing the Victor episodes!)
Smart move! And a second set of eyes is always a good idea. I've used content betas (to check canon) separately from SPaG betas at times and Yuletide is a perfect time for that, especially if you already have a reliable SPaG beta who just doesn't know the fandom well. I write 20 fandoms so my betas definitely don't know all of them. /grins/
