This was just a little bunny I thought might be hot.

Only problem was it stalled after I started it back in late 2006. I got it done a few days back and really just wanted it over and published, so forgive it not being my best. Bad me, hoping to ride on the coattails of an inherently hot pairing. ;-)

I confess I've forgotten what inspired the title, but I think there was supposed to be something in the fic about it. Ahh, well. Perhaps next time I'll take better notes. But then again, I don't plan on having any partial fic sit around for three years anymore. /grins/

I admit to being lazy on the spoilers, but it's been so long since I watched Season 1 of each show that I can't recall exactly which episodes are spoiled. Clearly not much, but I try to err on the side of caution.

Oh, i love the Unit, so I waas excited to see this pop up!

I liked Mack so freaked out by his own fantasies, threatening to kick Dean's ass if he smoked on Alpha team. And that supply room scene - hot.

The no longer familiar saltiness exploded on his tongue - a bitter aphrodisiac for an illicit liaison.
Mmmmmm.

Both of them sounded more poetic than I expected, but not in any way that interfered with my enjoyment. And I really enjoyed those glimpses of Jonas, who was absolutely Not Asking.

Thank you! I'm so glad someone was interested in this rare pairing. I slash Max Martini all over the place (I've slashed one of his characters with Dean before) but this combo and the idea of Dean as a military man like his father has been with me for years, always sounding good to me.

I'm so relieved to hear you think I did a decent job on the military angle. I was really worried about it, especially because I couldn't find any resources to tell me what name they used for that break room they hang out in.

Just out of curiosity, are you bribable? I've got a long Mack gen fic that takes place in the field so I'm really worried about logistics (ha!) and terminology.
