Please see the Virtue Series Post (1/2) for information on this Series and the Virtue Series Post (2/2) for the Epilogue Confession.

Information on the Viceworld universe can be found in the Vice Series Post.

Specific thanks are covered in the Confession posts, but I wanted to offer special thanks here to everyone who took the time to read Virtue and offer comments. It takes a lot of work to birth a novel (and Virtue was twice the size of her older brother Vice!) so it's nice to have someone to show the baby pictures off to. :-) Extra special thanks to everyone who recced Vice/Virtue to others. Consider yourself godparents. /grins/

Thanks,

Emma DeMarais

oh emma. /sigh/ I don't even know where to begin. i can't believe it's over. (at least for now until after Nov)There is just so much to love. Since you like Shakespeare, let me bastardize it a little and say:
Oh, Virtue. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways-
(coincedently, Virtue is more lovely and more temperant that its older bro Vice, but then Vice is scorchingly hot so it all evens out :))
1)"Some people just can't be saved from themselves."
That's so true of so many- Edgerton, Amita, even Billy and Charlie in a round about way....

2)"He always was good at cannonballs. He said the physics gave him an edge. Some sort of fluid dynamics thing."
I just love the little details like this. So canon-sounding, so cute!

3)"I'd been on the fence about it," she admitted. "And really, after what he did?" She shuddered. "I told myself to let him go, for good this time, to move on with my life. But I couldn't! God help me, I must be eleven kinds of crazy to want to be with him."I love this line. And I have to admit, having Susan ( ... )

You know, somehow, I missed the whole part where Kim got shot when I was mainlining this over the weekend. *laughs at self* I'm kind of glad, though, because I wasn't left hanging, wondering if she was dead or alive.

I appreciated how Megan's scene with Ian paralleled Don's scene with Billy. Very poetic and appropriate. I especially liked what it signified for Megan and Don.

Ray as the cleaner! Yay! *giggle* I just find that so funny.

I'll probably read the rest of the 'verse as you post it now. You have me hooked, woman! :D

*applauds*

\o/ WOOHOO!!! You Did It!

I'm glad Susan showed up and poor Charlie, so afraid of himself.
But Yah for everyone being on the island and moving forward with the good life. :)

Thanks for the ride. Marvelous as Megan thinks about the future:
Unlimited indeed. The future was open to her, to take the company as far as she could see and beyond.

And a perfect name for a new beginning.
