In which we demonstrate our excellent timing.

Saturday we went to visit Mt St Helens, since it had been a while since we went.

Today the volcano cam started working again.

About half an hour ago, it went POP!

Seems to be mostly ash at this point. She was steaming quite nicely on Saturday, but of course we forgot to take the camera with us.

nature, travel

http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/volcanocams/msh/archive/live-images/index.shtml has pix from every five minutes over the last three hours.

The pinky colors between 5:45-6 is from the sunset, not glowing lava :-(

If it were likely to, they wouldn't let you up there. This past weekend everything within 5 miles of the lava dome was closed off.

I'm still waiting for another mutant fly picture to show up on the cam.

Every time I'd see one I'd screen-cap it, because I'm *just that weird*.

I should put my collection of pictures up on my site sometime... talk about eclectic. And freakish. And sometimes downright icky.
