Yay. Homemade pesto is meant to be delicious. Punkispurple made lemon cheesecake and gave me a piece and I don't even like cheesecake but loved the lemon-ness.
I am hoping my niece still wants to meet me in person and does not freak out at seeing me head in real life.
Although I can now look over my shoulder and cycle (it has taken a while, as has indicating with one hand while still cycling in s atraight line, fortunately there's only one road between my work and home) I actually stopped to see if they'd reappear - I've only seen a stoat before, and that was a couple of years ago :)
I love skype! As long as my niece isn't permanently scarred by her early experiences, of course :)
I never seem to have enough basil to make pesto worth while (you have to keep the plants indoors here and they seem to limp along through life) but I'll definitely make more of an effort now! Plus I found you need far less oil than the ones in the shops seem to have.

I'm impressed that you're coordinated enough to look over your shoulder while riding your bike!
Yay for sugar cookies. And books. :)

Pesto is easy and so yummy. I know what you mean about ratios--I've made it with too much basil or too much oil, but it still tastes good!
