Putting up the Scotland photos made me realise I never put up photos from our post-Christmas drive to Venice via Germany and Austria and back home through France. I have less photos than warranted by the lovely scenery, I suspect due to the fact that it was REALLY REALLY cold which was a disincentive to taking the camera out.

It's possible that when I visited Salzburg last time as a 20 year old I might have done the sound of music tour, and danced around the fountain with my friends...

That shot of the cathedral at the end of the street reminds me very much of Santa Fe -- though San Francisco street is considerably shorter!

I think it's very impressive seen from a distance!

As a random aside, I love the name Santa Fe.

Lovely! I got cold just looking at the photos. Were most of the pictures taken very early? Is that why there aren't many people in them?

I just may have to start saying, "Gee, I think I'll go get Le Pack O' Food at McDonald's."

There aren't many people because it was cold :) And in the low season, and yes, earlyish or lateish in the day.

I kept thinking of how that guy in Pulp fiction is fascinated by the idea of a royale with cheese :)
