Your school teaches sign language?! That's awesome. My parents are deaf so I've known my entire life. Wish they taught it where I live. Good luck with school!

That's awesome! I'm inlove with ASL. And yeh, I know it's really cool that they teach it as a course for credit and as a language...I don't know any other highschools that do =) Most people make fun of sign language...such fucking fools.

I absolutely hate when people make fun of sign language and the hearing impaired. And you're right, they are fucking fools. It tears me up when I'm walking down the hallway at school and people are making fun of deaf people. A few kids have deliberately made fun of the deaf in front of me and I swear I could have killed them. I've dealt with that a lot in my life. Some teachers and peers seem to think that since my parents are deaf I'm at a learning disability which surely isn't the case and they sort of question my intelligence. I can't express how aggravating that is. The hearing impaired are the same as everyone else it's just they use an alternative way to communicate. I could go on and on about things I've witnessed and experienced. I'm leaving a lot out. But thank you for mentioning that, I mean it. I was afraid no one else had seen or cared to notice.
