As it turned out, I lost heart at the thought of rereading *Wuthering Heights*.  It’s such a jumbled mess of over the top emotions, psychic doubling and despair.  Instead, I reread *The Tenant of Wildfeld Hall* which offers a lovely antidote to the craziness of *Wuthering Heights ( Read more... )

I have or had a very funny parody of Wuthering Heights where the narrator is trying to warm up his frigid room by turning on the radiator. The subsequent knocking in the pipes is attributed by Heathcliff et al to be Cathy returned from the grave.

one of the best parts of the whole Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde is the Heathcliffe mediation therapy, where everyone absolutely hates him, excepty Cathy. And the session is lead by Jurisfiction agent Miss Haversham. It is pure genius.
