I have been de-cluttering my house in fits and starts (still working on organizing clutter more than discarding clutter, but I'm getting there). A few days ago, I spotted my "Learn to Knit" book and a couple of pattern booklets - and put them away in the dreaded "someplace safe." Several years ago I taught a beginning class on knitting. I was amazed to see Eilis there because I knew I'd seen her knit before. She doesn't knit often and casting on is the part she has trouble remembering.

So you are not the only one in that particular boat.

Thanks! That's what I'm hoping for. Right now I'm still in the stage of (mostly) everything (except the SCA shoes) is in boxes, those boxes to be sorted into discrete categories. But I'll get there someday!!! And I've (mostly) advanced beyond everything being in piles that need to be contained before they continue to grow like some form of yeast. The SCA shoes have achieved their very own box. It's a start!
