Happy New Year, everyone! Yes, I'm still here. I'm actually a bit dismayed at how long it's been since I've posted, as I do read my friends list regularly. I kept meaning to do a nice long catch-up post, but as is the way of these things, the longer I put it off, the more I had to say, and the more daunting the task. i completely understand what you're saying about the need to go to your parents' place more than anywhere else. that said, the flight from connecticut to toronto is about 55 minutes (i've done it many times!) if ever you feel like a bit of a detour on your way home! ;)

LOL! I swear I'm getting up there one day, Fi. Not necessarily off of a trip to my parents' though. It wouldn't be pretty. ;-)

Don't feel too bad. This is my first time back on since early March, and I haven't posted anything since the end of February. I was actually a little nervous logging in again, as if I would run into an angry mob waiting at my threshold.

LOL! No mobs, angry or otherwise. But I know some of the people who disappeared to Tumblr are heading back this way due to the difficulty of holding conversations over there, so who knows!

I'm late to the game and catching up on some old posts. Happy New Year to you as well.

I miss catching up with everyone on LJ. The newer platforms that I frequent (Tumblr, Twitter) just don't lend themselves to real give and take.

I hope that 2016 proves to be a great year for you.

Angela! I was thinking about you when I flew back to LA after Christmas because I ended up going through Charlotte. Of course everyone I know in NC lives on the other side of the state... ;-)

I vote we all migrate back to LJ. It is much better for real chats than the other platforms, as much fun as I have on them.

I think that sounds like a wonderful idea. It'd be fun to have a lot of the old group show up.

I saw that you were in the Charlotte airport. We had a connecting flight through there during the holidays last year. I thought they did a pretty decent job with the decorating. Did you enjoy the rocking chairs?
