Bleh! We haven't done any original cataloging at all yet, we've just been learning searching to understand how the online catalogs work. But I don't think we're going to have to memorize much, even in the higher level cataloging classes. Although tonight he did say that if we didn't leave class knowing what the 100 and 245 fields were for he didn't want to see us back next week. He was mostly kidding.

And it's all online anymore anyway, so why memorize it?

Ha! Yeah right, everybody wants like, three years of experience anymore. My advisor is working on making internships part of the program, so we'll see how that goes.
