Congratulations! I know a few people that live right outside new york to keep it cheap so you might want to look at the rails that go into NYC and try to find a place near them. That's about all the suggestions I have for that. I did have one friend find a really cheap place in NYC but it had no windows and barely fit his bed...
Yeah, I"m thinking Brooklyn or Queens. Hopefully I'll be able to sublet a bedroom in a student apartment for a fair price. We'll see. It's still early to be looking into housing.
