I don't have the internet at home until Virgin reconnect us next week. They have given me a free wireless router, but the box tells me one of the requirements is Windows. I run Linux on my computer, although there are windows computers in the house ( Read more... )

In that the wireless router provides a connection, it does so irrelevant of platform.

The problem you might have is with the setup - sometimes they give you a windows application to help you configure the router, but there are other ways to do it, or you could use a windows box for just that part.

I'm sure you have geeks around to help you get it going, but give me a shout if you're having problems.

Yarr, and also they won't support it if it breaks (this barely ever happens with routers) you ring them up and say you use windows. You can fib it pretty well or just use a windows machine if you have this prob though.
