On Friday the 13th I cut open my hand trying to gouge hardened candle wax out of the bottom of a thin glass luminary into the kitchen trash can with a butter knife. oh lord. there's an actual spray of blood? i don't want to think about it.

i do, however, want to think about that halloween costume. that was pretty brilliant.

I have noticed stitches and wounds make me queasy in my old age. I used to be able to stare at them in fascination.

Does it still hurt when you move your hand a certain way?

I think the hiding is interesting. I would have run to my parents and thrown myself on the ground in front of them, blood spurting everywhere.

I hid a lot but if I was really hurt the drama was too good not to share. :/
