I just want to say that you are a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant pod-reader. I've (literally) listened to every single podfic in the inception fandom (as well as several others) and right now you have zoomed all the way to the top of my fav-reader list.

You're really awesome with character voices, btw; literally had me laughing and tearing up at all the appropriate moments. Especially Eames' comment about the illegal u-turns! I LOL'd. <3

you're so talented - I wait on tenterhooks for any new podding that you might produce! and am ready to bribe you with fic-on-demand if that's what it takes for you to make more because wow, TALENT.

I've only written one inception fic thus far, but if it's your fandom of choice, I will pretty much pay my soul if i get to coerce you into more podfic. because they will be SO MUCH FUN.

I'm amazed this is your first attempt at podfic because this seemed so polished-you've definitely become one of my favourite readers. I loved your character voices! I loved the subtle changes you made between Arthur and Eames-Arthur, controlled and to the point, and Eames-I adored the absolute smugness that just radiated from his (your? :P) voice.

And the way that their voices changed depending on the circumstances! That scene where someone breaks into Eames's flat-the way you changed Eames's voice to something calm and soothing but still very much him, that was very well done and one of my favourite moments in your podfic.

Haha, you've actually got me a little addicted to The Shins now too.

Oh wow, 'Broken Toy' was... really intense. I hadn't actually read the fic before listening (I know, I know, it's whiskyrunner-what were you thinking, Self!? D:) so I was quite enraptured in the way the story unfolded. The way you voiced Eames just tore at my heartstrings! He sounded so desperate and broken, so far away from the smug!Eames I loved in 'When Two Suns Are Shining'. It was... haha, I feel rather odd saying that it was impressive, since it's actually incredibly disturbing xD, but I'm amazed at the way you were able to do that. I wonder, when you record do you do the different voices separately and then combine it later, or do you sit down and record it all in one sitting? I have no idea how you could just change suddenly from calm narration to, well, EamesAww, it's really interesting to hear you're nervous about your character voices! :D I loved hearing your Adriadne, Cobb, Yusuf in this one, and thought they were well done too. It's amazing how you were able to capture the tone of the characters. Ariadne especially, the ( ... )

Ooh, Inception! My new favourite fandom evar!

I totally missed out on the Inception-fandom explosion, since I neglected to see the film at the cinema and had to wait for DVD, so I spent the entire time avoiding everything in case I was spoiled, but now that I've seen it (and loved it), I'm basically trawling every author I love, who have all written some kind of inception fic at one point or another. It's like some kind of disease went through fandom or something and everyone sneezed out Arthur/Eames fic.

But anyway! I'm going to have a listen to this (because you so kindly listened to mine) and then there will be mutual squee and admiration :)

Gah!! Thank you for coming over and visiting my meagre podfic journal! <3 It is mostly empty still, but I dream of a day when it shall be bigger...

Hilariously, I also missed out on the initial Inception!boom. I only watched it, like, right before the DVD came out, fell in love, and came online expecting a tiny film!fandom... only to fine the MASSIVE and wonderful cacophany that is Inception fandom! :O I was shocked and super happy. It was like glutting myself at a surprise feast!

Also, if I could only suggest one Inception author to you (and since I know you're listening to this one!), it might have to be gyzym. Her domestic!verse makes my soul happy.

But then it will not be meagre when you have finished your ZOMG EPIC Avatar! Like, how epic are we talking, here? 50k? MORE?

I honestly do not understand how Inception took off like it did. I just remember there being a time when Merlin fandom nearly died because all its authors had the bug. It must just be the presence of JGL and Tom Hardy in the same frame of film.

I'm listening now! I'm enjoying :D Your Arthur voice is awesome! If I manage to find a suitably dialogue heavy fic suitable for radio-play, we are totally collaborating as Arthur and Eames, y/y?

I will check out gyzym and comment all over her stories, because I don't think I've read anything of hers yet.

OH GOD ZOMG EPIC. Um... *goes and does a quick word count*

*tiny voice* oh god over 150,000. DON'T JUDGE ME, OKAY? <.< Apparently I have no self control.

Inception is such an anomaly in fandom, honestly. Huge film fandom = basically unthinkable. Honestly, though, there's something so COMPELLING about it. It got me into podficcing, after all. And half of it probably IS Tom Hardy and JGL. And that relationship they had in the film. Because, damn.

:D Yay! Happyhappyhappy that you are enjoying! And thank you for the Arthur!voice compliment! (OMG YES PLEASE Y/Y. Because that would be amazing, completely fun, and would be two prompts with one fic. And then we would both be doing the accent we feel we are 'supposed' to! That would be perfect omg.)

Gyzym = amazingsauce, I definitely reccomend it. There are also a couple of podfics for a few of her stories, as I recall, if you enjoy her writing style. :D

It's a bit late now I'm afraid, but I had to leave a comment since you are an absolutely amazing reader, and being completely creepy here, your voice is so smooth and very distinct when you switch between characters and moods and it is just perfect! This was the first podfic I listened to and I completely fell in love and now I'm mainlining podfics like crack. Thank you for sharing. ♥

Oh, love, it is NEVER too late for feedback!! :D Thank you SO MUCH for taking the trouble to come back and let me know what you think -- it really does mean so much to me. It's difficult with podfic, as you listen to it far away from the 'comment' box, and it's easy to forget or not bother. I will always, always be over the moon whenever anyone leaves a comment on one of my podfics. Especially one as lovely as yours! <3

And that is NOT creepy at all, that's a lovely compliment!! :D :D :D I'm delighted that you found my voice enjoyable to listen to, and that the characters were distinct enough to tell the diference.
