Podfic! "Broken Toy"

Jan 28, 2011 11:38

I have a midterm in a few hours, and yet I've been spending the morning getting this ready to upload. I'm clearly a bad student. But on the bright side, I come bearing podfic! Many thanks to the lovely whiskyrunner for letting me play in her world.

This story might be triggery for some people, as it references to past noncon situations.

Just so you know, I cried when i listened to this. I think your Eames-interpretation is stunning and a little too tangible. I'm scared to listen again in case i turn on the waterworks; and just so you know, when i first read the fic, it didn't move me half as much.

scary.

*hug* Sometimes, hearing the story confronts you with it in a much more immediate way than reading it. I'm glad it impacted you, and I'm incredibly flattered that my podfic elected such an emotional reaction in you. Thank you so much for letting me know, and for the compliment to my Eames voice. It really means so much to me. :)

I have never experienced listening to a podfic and I am so glad that yours was the first I have ever listened to. Plus, your intro and outro was freakin' Mumford and Sons.
A+++++++

Great fanfic, Great interpretation!!

Thank you so much, love!! :D It was a joy to deflower your virgin podfic ears, and I'm ecstatic that you enjoyed it. <3 Ahaha, I hope the intro/outro matched the mood of the fic, at least a little. Those kids make some fiiine music.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback!! :D

I really liked your podfic. Very clear sound and I like that you waited for the intro song to end before you started reading (some authors don't and then I have a hard time listening). Well done.

Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it. You're completely right; there's no point in mussing up your opening line by trying to compete with pop music. <3 Thank you for the feedback!

Haha!! <3 <3 Thank you so much for taking the time to come back here and comment, my love! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And I'm so glad that you've started going through my other Inception podfics, too! ^--^ Broken Toy is a wonderful story, and I was ever so chuffed that I was able to read it.

I started walking to my lecture with the express intention of listening to your latest podfic, but then ended up listening to this! I listened all through my practical and it certainly livened up the Mezozoic fossil record :D

It was a totally awesome reading. Couple of spots where you'd clearly gone back and edited some time later (interestingly, I think both times it was when Cobb was speaking), but no biggy. Not like me repeating an ENTIRE PARAGRAPH or anything.

I well enjoyed this, and you introduced me to the idea of saying 'The End' at the end of the recording, which had never occurred to me before! I'm so looking forward for my trip to York, so I can enjoy your Avatar one just as much.

Haha! Yes, I was listening to this one the other day, and I was wincing slightly at my lacklustre editing skills. The obvious edits, as well as some unpleasant breathy noises I'd rather have out. (Doing Float has actually given me a lot of practical experience on how to quickly and more effectively edit things, which is awesome.) Oh, well! I am always improving, and it's nice to know that I'm getting better even after so short a time doing podfics. <3 ( ... )
