First, Max. Starting about a month ago, we noticed that his gums were starting to swell a little bit. We thought maybe he had gingivitis or something would resolve itself. The swelling continued to get worse. Finally, it got to the point where it was obvious that he was in pain, not eating any of the crunchy food, and feeling really bad. So we took

He's doing better for the moment. I'm less worried about him now. He's a tough guy. It'll take a lot to slow him down.
