Presumably, they screened all the initial applicants with two tests. The first was basic math, language and logic. After that there was one of those 200 question gorilla personality tests. Lots of questions about "would you prefer to take orders or give them?", which I mistakenly answered truthfully, and a bunch of questions with "always" or "never" in them, which I mistakenly took literally.
Like I said, they presumably were cutting people based on the tests, and the guy gave a whole speech along the lines of don't worry, now you know what to expect, you can come back another time and try again. He read off the names of the people that would stay for interviews, and I wasn't one of them. I managed to finish the "don't try to finish this, just do as much as you can correctly in fifteen minutes" test, which leaves the personality test. Or else it was a subjective thing, or they only interview the most qualified. All three explanations reflect pretty poorly on them.

Yesterday I rode on the train and the people working the train had cool hats. You should get a cool hat.
