The funeral was today and as it was ridiculously overwhelming, I'm going to deal with it by doing a fic meme. Am I a terrible person for that?

Chick rested her head against the wall, waiting for the Critic to come out. She'd been back from hospital a few weeks ago now and after her little spat with Michaud, dragged her hooker to the shopping mall to get something proper to wear for work

I really like this. I think you definitely caught the Chick's character in the need she has for control over the Critic (and therefore, her life), plus the title fits the prompt perfectly.
