Thanks to into_the_wild  who posted アンジェラ・アキの手紙~拝啓十五の君へ, which inspired me to write a letter to myself.

Dear you, who is reading this letter
You are only fifteen years old
Don’t be confused, don’t be lost

I read it, and think of the letter I didn't write to myself, and wonder if I have done all the things that I ought to do: which is to tie up any loose ends that I have left in this short little life of ours.

As our own candles grow shorter, some flame goes out.

It is interesting to think what happens if we could actually write a letter to our 15-year-old self. Would our lives be better as a result of it? Or is everything pre-destined where a river will always run its course?

Given that we cannot go back through time to advise ourselves, I think it is crucial that we do right with our present. "The past is a history, the future is a mystery, and the present is a gift." Cheesy as that may sound, it rings true to me that we should really treasure and make the best of what we have. If we know that what we did in our past makes us who we are today, let's realign our goals today so we can have a better future.

BTW, thanks for posting Angela's inspiring song... and thanks for your entries.
