Thorly Inception

 Maybe it's my natural reflex when something gets pushed on me with too much excess but I am having trouble staying positive about the upcoming Thor movie.  I'm a fan of Chris Hemsworth and I think he looks the part, but I can't help but think he doesn't sound right especially without some "thou" and "art" speech that were once classic trademarks

I actually liked Thor, it wasn't perfect-perfect (some of the comic relief felt a bit forced to me and yeah, that especially includes Kat Dennings' character - but she sort of disappears halfway through the film so the damage is limited) but I thought it was enjoyable, pretty much on par with the Iron Man movies. Then again, the Thor I am most familiar with is Millar's Ultimate version who's even more un-divinized than this one, so I didn't expect him to be particularly... aulic, I guess.

Oh, boy ... I really don't like the Ultimate Thor but I'm probably in the minority since I liked the JMS run on Thor before Fraction. I hope I feel the same way you do about the movie, I really enjoyed the Iron Man films but I have to admit I am tiring of origin stories and it feels like every comic book movie release this year is going to be one. lol.
