Yes! Exactly how I felt, I've had this idea since that scene happened, I am just glad I finally got to write it. I always thought at the very least, Chloe would have left with Clark to take on his cause and not be left all alone. I almost have another idea for a one-shot going in that direction. LOL.

Thanks for loving the story! Had to rush and post the rough draft to make it in time for PB XI so I only got around to editing it today. Smoothed it out a bit. :)

Wow. Beautiful job on this. Chloe's reaction is perfect, how it totally should have been, and just as it used to be on the show, Clark proves Chloe is his one true weakness. This is great. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for such a lovely comment. I'm happy that the story hit that same missing spot for you as well. One of the reasons I wrote it from Chloe's perspective was because she wouldn't have let him walk away. :)

This was pretty much the moment the show broke the Chlark closeness that had been going strong for 8 seasons. They were never the same after this. Thanks for commenting. :)

Definitely! I try to put as much as I can on the page to perfectly illustrate the scene. If there's one MUST for Smallville it is how Clark towers over all the ladies. Glad you liked.
