Ugh. X-Women. I hated it as soon as I saw the cover, but now that I know it's got a terrible story, I won't even bother picking it up to read, lol.

I think Avengers Academy has potential, but you're right, I'm not all that interested in the students, either. They seem like they're one step away from being super villains, lol.

I'll admit I skimmed after about half way through but from what I remember one of the x-girls gets kidnapped while they were out partying and the rest have to go undercover as dancers/escorts and while in the wild they have to wear make-shift clothes after losing theirs. It's total fluff.

I think that was probably the pitch for the book with having the kids that were most in danger of going evil being the ones brought under their wing. But I don't like villain books AT ALL. Don't read Secret Six anymore, or Thunderbolts, dropped Dark Avengers after the first issue, and not reading Action Comics anymore since its following Lex now. I'm only sticking with AA because of the teachers, especially since Tigra had skrull!Pym's cat baby and now is working with Hank.

How much they spend having the kids going towards evil and on the kids in general will decide if I stick with it. I don't like villain books (Secret Six, Thunderbolts, etc) and I've been burned with Marvel young heroes books before (Young Avengers, Runaways - the creators leave).

I'll admit Finesse is scary interesting but the rest leave me wanting. I wish they had included someone on the team that was from Avengers Initiative to lead them but that probably wouldn't work with their almost villains plot.

Also now that I think about it, it's time for Quicksilver to become a bad ass again. Enough of this hiding the truth to be accepted and as a result be manipulated by Finesse.
