It is! I'm still not quite comfortable even saying "cannabis" or "marijuana" out loud. There's no reason for that--not around here, but I was 16 when the War on Drugs officially began, and that stuff sticks with you.

What's so funny is that my girlfriends and I discuss it all the time because we're all getting a little creaky and needing relief from pain or insomnia. And what's even funnier is that my freakin' 87 year old mother and I swap dispensary recommendations. LOL.

I've heard good stuff about medical cannabis, and I'm glad it is having the right effect.

(And to be fair; when I have long-lasting pain I always lose concentration, feel a bit off-kilter and so on - so I'd personally consider feeling "a teeny bit hazy" a fair swap.)

The haze seemed a very fair trade-off to me yesterday, that's for sure.

Some of my pain in recent months has taught me just how depressing constant pain can be. It really is impossible to concentrate on anything else after a certain point, and life very quickly becomes hard to endure. I've gone from feeling suspicious and skeptical about cannabis to being its new Number One Fan. When this new Administration started talking about rolling back marijuana legalization in the states, I was ready to take up arms!
