Wanderlust heartily satisfied. I journeyed out to the suburbs of Boston to visit with mywarpedheart and her boythingey. It was nice to get out of the house, and it was even better seeing her (since I haven't in years). The only glitch was getting horribly lost once I got off the highway system. People aren't joking when they say Boston drivers are the worst ( Read more... )

That's why if/when I move to Boston I'm selling my car and taking the subway everywhere. It will be fantastic.

But, in an unrelated note... where you someone who posted a comment on one of my math posts in the UAlbany community/know something about how the math courses work there?
More specifically... do I really need to take discrete probability before stats and continuous probability?

If you weren't one of those math response people or you don't know what I'm talking about, then disregard this message haha.

Probably not. I never went anywhere near the math courses. Wouldn't your advisor know that sort of stuff, or is s/he unavailable like every other advisor?

My adviser probably wouldn't haha... even in spite of the fact that I'm a philosophy major. He likes to just make sure I know I need to take a certain course that's only offered in the fall, but after he saw I already had it he just gave me an AVN and sent me on my way. Very laissez-faire, which I like.

But any professor or higher-up I ask would probably just say I really need the pre-req, but of course they'll say that. I don't care. I just need to pull a C+ . I just want my math minor done and over with.

That's the spirit, bucko!

While we're on unrelated topics, are you going to go to digitalgeist's thing on the 8th?

You were in Beverly?

Of course, if you were here on Saturday, I was out most of the day, so we would've missed each other!

Yep--from Friday night to Sunday morning. Is that where you reside? If so, you live in a nice area.

We were in the southern part of town, basically south of "downtown". I'm sure you were in one of the nicer areas. ;)
