Oh, holy hell.

That was beautiful. And I probably shouldn't have read this when I was already in a depressed state of mind, because now I'm sobbing, but it was worth it. I love the description of taking the plunge over the side of the hill, and how Spike is both detached and concerned in the same space.

And I realize that this is a wonderful stand-alone but I might as well say that I would love to know what happens next....

Y'know, I kinda wrote this with you in mind. Not sure if you recognize the hotel or not, but your pictures inspired me. ;-)

Anyway. I'm glad you liked it. I've been working on this in my darker moods for the past four months or so. And I'm thinking about writing a follow up to it, but for now it feels really good to have purged all of that.

I definitely understand with the feeling purged of badness through writing. I didn't realize I still had some latent issues about something until it came up in the fic I'm writing and I found myself a sobbing mess. Once I finished that chapter I felt amazing. I hope you feel better soon!

I find writing to be amazingly healing, though.
