Мечтали мы с подружками поехать в Агадир. Ну, мечта такая была... Но не получилось. Слишком сложно трём разным людям, с двумя детьми ещё (одна-то умная - не стала сразу своего сына с собой брать, но мы-то не такие с Анфисой), так подгадать время и свои возможности, чтобы совпасть с возможностями Марокко. Поэтому мы поехали в Турцию.

Dear Maria! I have worried so about you, Tash & Artem and several other friends. The photos and video coverage on the news about the fires has been very sad. I heard from Tash but several who do not live in Moscow and make userpics have not written anything. I pray they are safe ... I have been praying for all the Russian people.

Tash told me about the smoke being bad in Kazan. I saw St. Basil's and the Kremlin with much smoke in the air. I could not believe this was happening. I am very sad for the people who lost their homes and entire villages which were destroyed. It is very sad to see the beautiful pines burning. They will not grow back during our lifetimes :(

Please tell me how things are now in Russia. Are the fires still burning or have they been controlled?

I would love to live in the mountains too. I like that image :)

We must talk soon. Please let me know when I can phone you. We have not talked since February.

I am very happy to know the fires are out. I will post this in my journal tomorrow for my friends in the US and other countries to know. My dear friend ian_green left in June for a little village near the White Sea. He said he would return in September. He has much experience in the vast forests but I remember him telling me about all the peat. I hope he will return without problems
