I love the premise here, that Leoben actually might've been *patient* about what he'd seen and decided to take time in bringing them to pass instead of rushing and trying to force the issue. And because he's patient, he's attacking Kara (as it were) from her weak side instead of her strong side. He doesn't need to manipulate her in this version of events; it looks like she'll do a fine job of screwing with herself without any of his help.

Oh sweetie, you already have me hook, line and sinker. I must admit, I rarely delve into dollhouse fic - either writing or reading. (Personal triggers make them difficult for me.) Your note to 'give this a try' caught me up. I was absolutely smitten from the beginning. I am completely enthralled by this slightly-different Leoben. I am not quite sure the game he's playing, but I'm intrigued to find out.

I rarely read WIP (and wouldn't have started if I'd seen this was one) but I do hope that you continue. *hugs* Just beautiful! K :D

Nope, no dollhouse here! And it's not a WIP - I'm putting the finishing touches on the last chapter still, but it's all written. I'm just staggering the posting cause it's long. I'm so pleased you like it so far!

This is a really interesting start. I like the idea of Caprica, Boomer, and Leoben all wanting the same thing - for their particular human to love them. It brings them together, but each of them have a lot to overcome. The idea that Leoben waits for Kara to come to him changes a lot of their dynamic. I can't wait to see what happens next and hope to see more not only of Leoben/Kara but of Boomer, Caprica and their relationships with Chief and Baltar.

Thanks! I think there were a lot of parallels in their relationships that the show never really called attention to. Caprica and Boomer's relationships will definitely continue to evolve in the background!
