I seriously love British television.... is anyone else watching 'Misfits'? It is amazing and brilliant (and I can't find any Region 1 DVDs, which I really want!).

And have you seen the preview for Doctor Who's return (Easter 2011)? I can't wait!

I've watched all 13 episodes (in 2 series, there are only 13 total, right?). The Christmas episode was so funny that I couldn't even sleep... I would lie there and start laughing aloud!

Total brilliance.

Misfits really is an astonishing show, I know that no show on regular US TV could do the nudity and language, but even on HBO I think they would hesitate to be quite as cynical about religion... And so cavalier about death (altho Dexter has a similar attitude to some deaths...).

SPOILER FOR THE CHRISTMAS EPISODE:
I still burst out laughing every time I think about Nathan attacking the evil alien after birth!

TV vs Movies is an interesting one - I prefer TV too and it's interesting how it's getting harder for movies to truly differentiate themselves from TV. Plus a terrific concept lasts for two hours in a movie but can sustain a TV show for a decade.

Yeah, that time/length aspect is always a problem... I mean I love 'Serenity' but that probably represents a full season of 'Firefly'. *sob*
