Hi! It is very cold and snowy, but we had a lovely Christmas; my brother is here and we fixed a nice meal for some friends who came to join us and talk... it was a great celebration.
I hope your Christmas was also full of family and friends (but without all the cold).
I got some great gifts: a DVD set of Dexter's 4th season and one of the musical Little Shop of Horrors... plus books and lots of cookies and candies.... (too many sweets in fact)
Well that is a sweet idea about the Caroling (of course I always liked singing Tom Lehrer's Christmas Carol even when others were doing religious songs! lol).
I'm so glad you are enjoying Hunger Games, I really found them involving (and difficult to put down!). But I also seriously love Dorothy L. Sayer's Lord Peter Wimsey novels (did you ever read them all? The best IMO was 'Gaudy Night' although I also really loved a lot of the other ones too... does your Father have a favorite?). I even made a point of visiting Oxford, not so much to see where Sayers grew up and went to college, but more so I could see where Lord Peter went to college, and where he kissed Harriet Vane for the first time. (It was on my tour of my favorite English novels which I did on my first visit to the UK).
