I decided to decorate my closet door, actually my first idea was a faux mirror (a slightly reflective surface made of silver wrapping paper) but it didn't look right... and it slowly changed into a collage of my favorite writers along with some of their books....

That's a wonderful idea! Closet doors are so boring, and this is a nice way to add some color and art to your space. Many years ago in one of my first apartments, I painted the front door. When people came over they got a kick out of seeing the door when they went to leave.

I have to tell you that I stapled the paper on... and glued the pictures to the paper...
so when I leave here I won't even need to repaint, I can just tear down the collage and it won't be any damage to the door at all (the staple holes won't even be noticeable).

I didn't paint the doors when I left, which is likely why I didn't get my $100 deposit back. LOL

The time I didn't get my deposit back was when I got too impatient cleaning the freezer: I tried to chisel off the ice, and I made a hole in the side of the freezer and the freon leaked out!
(it is kind of surprising they didn't charge me more than the amount of the deposit!)

BTW I just heard: they are filming Sherlock Holmes 2 w/RDJ and Jude Law, and Stephen Fry is going to play Holmes' brother Mycroft! Yay!
