My photos were never as awesome as they should be... My hand is not as steady as it should be, but there are awesome photos out there RavenU at Whedonesque has posted hers and they are (as always) perfect, and naughtyelf posted some wonderful ones at her lj here.

( I visited Torrance, saw Ron Glass, Jane Espenson, and Jewel Staite (with pictures to prove it!) )

That is so cool and a bit weird you got to see Buffy's house and HS. Does someone actually live in that house? It would be weird for me to live in a famous house and have people coming by to take pictures all the time. The pressure! What if I hadn't mowed the lawn that day?

And isn't Ron just awesome? He's one of those people that smiles and you just wanna hug him. That's awful he didn't know about Dirty Sexy Money being cancelled. I've never seen it, so I didn't know he was even in it!

I don't think I'd heard the pee story. You can tell me that one.

Yes, the lady who owns the house IS pretty tired of it, she let them film at her house a lot... but finally they had built replicas of a lot of her rooms and would only occasionally shoot in her front or back yard (and of course she got paid a lot of money for the inconvenience ( ... )

I think I did hear the part where she peed on it a little, but not the whole store. Poor Jewel. She finally gets to dress up and she has to wear a pre-sweated in uncomfortable dress.

someone has fries, it smells so freakin' good.

oh dear, don't talk about food! I've gotta get some lunch but I haven't done any grocery shopping yet....

Oh BTW, Jewel tactfully didn't mention that it was pre-sweated on... she referred to it as the stinky dress, and I remembered in the Shindig commentary Shawna mentioned that fact so I included it in my telling to you.

I had always wanted to at least make a pilgrimage there: back in Buffy's early seasons they were actually doing a lot of the filming there.... when Spike met Joyce "we're in a band"...

I just love to get to visit places....
I did think about driving by Joss' house... The house where he had all those Shakespeare parties is for sale, and I found out the address and saw pictures of the inside:

But there is a gate, you can only see the house if you prove you are qualified by a bank to buy (fat chance! LOL)
and besides it turns out he and the family have already moved!

it is a beautiful old craftsman style house... and you notice they carefully filmed it to NOT show the big palm tree out by the street, but they used the pine tree near the front (that was where Spike had evidently stood out and smoked a bunch of cigarettes, but when Buffy caught him he claimed that he was just "Out.For.A. Walk. ...Bitch.")

Yeah, isn't that a perfect place for big parties? It isn't all formally decorated, but there are comfy places to sit and talk, a huge media room, a big music room, and two offices (one for Joss and one for Kai, his wife). I was surprised they moved but evidently there was a house in the neighborhood with a real recording studio set up.... I hope they can sell this house soon, it is a little rash to move before selling the old house.
