I am...actually really hopeful for this flashback arc. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a very tentative hope, but considering how long it's been since I had even that concerning this series

I guess I can at least partially agree about the story arc thing, though I'd prefer to be at the present-time action ^^;

Something about the art in this chapter just rubbed me the wrong way :/ I know they're kids and all and silliness has to kinda be expected, but a lot of moments/reactions just seemed so... comical. Too comical for my taste, especially after the present-time action. Mood Whiplash, y'know? (♥ TV Tropes)

Let's see what Kishi will do with the next few chapters. I've been a bit distant from the series despite reading every chapter, but again, I blame that on a) playing that grand racing game on the PC, and b) raiding my fav art sites of appealing Sonic art (no, not Sonichu and the likes XD) :D

I'm actually very pleased with these flashbacks so far - they were much better than I was expecting! There were a few things such as Madara's over the top rage faces that threw me off a bit, but I suppose it does show that they are still kids underneath everything. Though it is still kind of surreal to have the main villain of the series talking about how he can't pee if there's someone standing behind him. XD

I'm loving this arc! Back when the zombie army of doooom came about I was all, *facepalm* and fell away from the series, but ever since the Obito thing came about, I think Kishi's really hit his stride. Things feel important again. I haven't enjoyed Naruto this much since the Itachi-is-a-good-guy reveal :D
