I think the opportunity is there to explore something a bit more complex than the usual relationship dramaz with Effy, given her S4 canon, so yeah, why not? And, yes, this is a serious issue and the implications and consequences are a lot more severe.

Hmm. JJ needs someone doesn't he? Cook's interlude is up next. Personal issues about Freddie/Katie? If they hadn't slept together in S3 because they both wanted something from Effy, then I think they could have been an interesting couple. And I think that in this story Freddie needs someone with the (figurative) balls to tell him he's being an arse.

I'm really glad you think that the balance of this feels alright, because JJ often says things that are unintentionally funny, or weird, and really, the story isn't exactly a comedy, you know?

Sadly JJ will never be able to be the president of the USA because he's not an American citizen. So that's out. But UK PM is still a possible, if he works on his social skills a bit ;)
