Fic: A girl's prerogative
“Eppes. I’ll be right down.” Don stood, “Elisabeth’s here she brought lunch.”
Colby sighed, “Yeah rub it in, your wife brought lunch while we go without.”
Megan chimed in, “Yeah slave driver.”
Don retorted, “Well she brought lunch for you three wise guys too.”
David’s eyes lit up, “I knew I liked her.”
Don signed in his wife and daughter.
Elisabeth clasped Don’s hand, “Your daughter decided she wants to be a doctor.”
“You do? What happen to wanting to be a physicist like Uncle Larry?”
She shrugged, “I change my mind. Mommy said it’s a gwirl’s pa-wog-a-tiv.”
Elisabeth greeted Megan and David as Maggie hugged them.
David said, “Thanks for including us.”
“No prob. I figured the slave driver would forget to eat so that would translate into you all not eating.”
Megan grinned, “See even your wife knows you’re a slave drive.”
“Yeah yeah you three are a bunch of cry babies.”
“Okay. Where’s A-dent Co-bee?”
Colby answered, “I’m right here.”
Maggie shrieked with glee as she hugged Colby, “You brought Marie Calendar! Don I love your wife!”
“Find your own wife.”
Maggie squirmed out of Colby’s arms to skip ahead. “Daddy did you catch any bad men today?”
“Not yet but the day is still young.”
“No? Why not? Do you make A-dent Megan catch them all?”
Megan grinned, “Yes Maggie. Daddy makes me do all the work. I catch all the bad men.”
“Daddy I changed my mind again. I wanna be A-dent Megan!”
