So, on July 24th I was performing floorwork and felt a POP in my right knee. Since then the little Mickey Fickey has hurt like WHOA. I went to my doctor when I got back to Birmywood and he sent me to an orthopedist today. The good news is that it is probably just a tear in the cartilage or a sprain. No surgery was mentioned. Oh you poor dear! That's horrible! I hope you heal quickly and are spoiled rotten until you do.

I got a cortisone shot in my foot and that hurt like a mutha. I can't imagine it in my knee - ow!!

I'm sorry your knee is hurt! I hope it heals quickly and that the pain subsides...

Yeah, those cortisone needles are really freaking scary. My doctor wouldn't let me see the needle she used to give me my spinal shot until *after* she used it, thank goodness. Whoa.

Thanks, love! Yeah, I'm glad I didn't see the needle before he did it. I know I would have fainted and thereby felt doubly silly!

It really wasn't *that* bad. It didn't really hurt going in. The pain came when she was actually injecting the steroids -- because the fluid was directly touching all of the jangly/irritated nerve endings that were the source of my original pain. It felt like this weird, painful-tingling pressure moving down my back all the way to my feet. But as soon as she stopped injecting, all of the pain was gone. =c)

girl! i can walk almost normal today! it's a miracle! ok, so it's steroids, but it feel so good not to limp!
