YAY! Thanks for the signal boost!! :D And I'm thrilled you like the banner! I do love making them.
A comment fest is a low-key fest where people leave prompts in comments, and then creators can reply to those comments with a link to their prompt fill(s). Rather than the traditional prompt/claim/post format.
I knew someone you were going to explain to me what a comment fest is without having to actually ask it (I don't know why, but I felt like it was less embarrassing this way). Thank you for that! I was seriously worried that I would have had to fill a prompt by using the space of a comment!
This banner is honestly beautiful. I love the font that you chose for the community and I just love the composition, and the fact that it's focused on words and not on a picture. Kudos! Thousands of kudos, my dear!
(And your email is glaring at me and will get a reply this weekend, I solemnly swear!)
Don't worry about the email! Write the fic! 10K down is amazing! \o/
Thank you, thank you, thank you re: the banner! :D I think sometimes banners with pics can be hit or miss, just because images evoke such strong reactions in us. For instance, I've noticed on tumblr that I might react to the same image in totally different ways depending on my mood, so that what's sexy one day can be almost repellent another. The font is from dafont.com, which is a fantastic free source if you're looking for fonts that don't immediately jump out at viewers as "Mistral" or "Comic Sans". ;) And... this is all probably way more information than you wanted to know about that little banner. LOL!
So sorry it took me sooo long to reply, but it's my dad's birthday today and we went to a state fair in a nearby town and we ate barbecued meat and French fries and mushrooms and then we went to see the merry-go-rounds (is that where I put the 's' to make it plural?) and then my mum, my cousin and my auntie had a gigantic fried doughnut covered in sugar and I had cotton candy and honestly I have no idea why I'm telling you all this, but it was just so fun and wanted to share! LOL! :D (Now would you look at that? I wrote the same thing to Lightofdaye, but I changed all the words from American to British! How awesome is that? Is it even correct? Hehehehehe! I might be on a sugar rush.)To be honest, I loved each and every single piece of information that you gave me about the banner. And I agree about the pictures, the way I perceive something varies very much with my mood. I love how neat and elegant the banner is. I just love it. And I looooooooooooove fonts! Every time I finish a story and get it beta-read I change the fonts and add

I love that 10 thousand words if 'half done' for you. If I'd written that much it would nearly the longest oneshot I'd have ever written. I think my longest was my first smutty claus at 16k. Next years was 9, last years was 6. I'm going to end up writing a flashfic this year at this rate!
So sorry it took me sooo long to reply, but it's my dad's birthday today and we went to a local fair in a nearby town and we ate barbecued meat and chips and mushrooms and then we went to see the merry-go-rounds (is that where I put the 's' to make it plural?) and then my mum, my cousin and my auntie had a gigantic fritter covered in sugar and I had candyfloss and honestly I have no idea why I'm telling you all this, but it was just so fun and wanted to share! LOL! :D (Now would you look at that? I wrote the same thing to Tamlane, but I changed all the words from British to American! How awesome is that? Is it even correct? Hehehehehe! I might be on a sugar rush.)Gaaaaahhhhh! Ah, but I have a curse! You can't even imagine how much I'd like to participate to Hp-humpdrabbles, but the last time I tried to write a drabble it turned out to be 4600 words! I have a half finished story about the next generation. I'm right in the middle of it and it's 300,000 words, but I can't find the time to finish it with all these fests. And another story
( ... )
But I cannot not write plot. It's the only thing I know how to write.
I tried not to write plot in Carousel. I only had two scenes at the beginning. Was all happy about that. Then I went to bed and woke up and I had all the plot in my head. I tried to fend off the attacks of the plot, but I didn't succeed.
And you write plot too, Tam, only yours is skilfully integrated in the smut. You don't even notice but you write so much in your sex scenes you have no idea. Me is jealous. <3<3<3
