upon the nature of opinions

I've been thinking about criticisms lately, and two little incidents triggered some thoughts I"d like to et down before I forget them:

Mini incident 1:I was having my dinner in delifrance yesterday when I heard the lady at the next table spelling out the phrase "you have failed by god's standards" for someone on the other end of the line, and ( Read more... )

you have failed by god's standards"

...the hell? The only person who has any right to judge by God's standards is God Himself. I really dislike it when some overly religious people think they have a right to condescend to everything. Overcompensating much?

And lmao, pop culture. I love everything about it (or rather I'd rather embrace it than bitch on it), from Jersey Shore to Biebs to GaGa to hair whippin', lol. I don't know, I just find it so fascinating. It's not always right but it sure as hell is always fun. 8D

She was scary. I swear almost every other word out of her mouth had a "should" or "must" or "do" or "god" in it, it made for a very odd dinner cos I was just at the next table lol~ (good thing the place was relatively empty)

oh btw, the delifrance in jurong point is really quite lovely~<3 go there with me one day! I have my regular table lol :p

I alternate pop music with more soulful ones (because as much as I love celtic or really traditional music, they tend to put me in a state that's more contemplative and somewhat unproductive lol). Oh, I found out that the NIE course I was interested in was a practical one for either the koto or shakuhachi, I'd drop by on tuesday to see what the course is about ahaha~
