during my daily, solitary confinement in the library i was reading people's lj's and realizing that a lot of the liberals at this school really get on my nerves. coughunderclassmencough. they are too reactionary and angry. i think they deserve to be angry BUT debates become petty, middle school tiffs and they spend entirely too much time insulting

I do agree, though, that it is true that being, er, open-minded is just another opinion, and pressing that view on other close-minded people is just another form of intolerance. "I'm intolerant of your intolerance!" Yanno?

i suppose it is an election year tradition. and you can't argue with that. :) more seriously, it was the manner in which a lot of people have been going about it that was bothering me. if someone who was planning on voting for bush heard an intelligent argument on why he sucks(as if it weren't obvious) -i'm such a hypocrite- they'd be more likely to come to the dark side or at least question their own opinion than if they heard some of the ignorant bitching i've heard lately.
