I must admit i quite like the idea. Cut the back out of a cabinet/dresser in the rear room, fit over and you could make the back look a lot less conspicuous.
Looks nice for a flat panel TV and a rear projection set is a *LOT* cheaper than a plasma/LCD at that size - Often bigger too.
