Apple slides up to Intel

While there are dozens of more important things out there, I figured that I'd discuss this one briefly before I really got into the meat of my work today. Apple has announced that the next generation of Macs will be on an Intel platform. This has been coming a long time - they announced they would do that some time last year. I'm not particularly happy, either.

My powerbook150 still runs system 7.2 :)

7.2! Wooohooo! Ancient OS. I have one of the PowerBooks that has "c" in the number. I forget which one. 520, maybe.

I guess I hadn't been paying attention last year or just didn't take notice of it. Who knows. Maybe by the time that I get to buying something above the G4 that I have now, they'll have ditched Intel. :)
