Apparently the lab isn't due until the 18th. This means that I must go over it and write it properly, since I can't use the last-minute-I-know-it-fails-but-at-least-it's-in excuse. Er... yay?

Patience is a virtue, grasshopper. I'll get to them in time. :p (Which one should I start with? I was planning to read them in order, but I'm not sure if the library has them all...)

On that note, what the hell is that in your icon? It looks like a log. Or a sloth. Possibly a sloggoth.

Master and Commander. You can read them out of order, but they will make more sense, and presumably be more enjoyable in order. :D The first three, for all their in-jokes, are very much separate stories - after that, they become more of a roman-fleuve.

And to answer your question:

'This is a sloth,' said Stephen, smiling at him. 'A three-toed sloth, the most affectionate, discriminating sloth you could imagine!' The sloth turned its round head, fixed its eyes on Jack, uttered a despairing wail and buried its face again in Stephen's shoulder, tightening its grip to the strangling point.

Jack is very hurt by the sloth's continuing dislike of him, which results in one of the series' most LOLworthy scenes. XD
